Detailed Web Development Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to develop, maintain, and improve responsive websites and web applications for the Foundation. You will build user-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring that pages are visually appealing, easy to navigate, and functional across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. You will also convert UI/UX designs into responsive web pages, maintain existing layouts and features, and support continuous improvements to the organization’s online presence.

The role will involve optimizing website speed, performance, usability, and accessibility. You will identify and fix bugs, technical issues, and performance bottlenecks, test features across different browsers and screen sizes, and help ensure a smooth experience for visitors, volunteers, donors, partners, and community members. Attention to detail will be important when reviewing layouts, forms, navigation, content presentation, and interactive components.

Back-End Development, Databases, and Integrations

On the back end, you will develop and manage functionality using PHP, following clean, secure, and scalable coding practices. You may work on forms, dashboards, databases, APIs, and third-party integrations that support the Foundation’s programs and digital operations. You will use database fundamentals to structure and retrieve information effectively, assist with API integration and handling, and troubleshoot back-end issues when they arise.

You will also follow basic security and data-protection best practices while working with websites, user inputs, forms, and digital information. You will be expected to maintain and update existing website content, layouts, and features without compromising performance, usability, or consistency.

Design, AI Tools, and Team Collaboration

Nabatara Foundation is seeking someone with a good eye for website design and visual presentation, along with an understanding of UI/UX principles, typography, spacing, color, and visual hierarchy. Experience with Figma, Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools will be an advantage. Your creative thinking will help you create clean, modern, responsive layouts that communicate the Foundation’s work clearly.

You will also implement and manage AI-powered tools and automations where relevant. AI tools may support development, research, content workflows, troubleshooting, and productivity.
